What does Law Enforcement Publications (LEP) have to offer my Department?
--- Law Enforcement Publications (LEP) takes great satisfaction in providing professional services and high quality products that help raise money, heighten community awareness, and provide a way for the community to physically show their support. Choosing a calendar project with our company can raise your department up to $10,000! We give you a guaranteed, non-refundable, up-front advance for your proceeds from the calendar with possibly more to come when we finish.
What can the money raised for the department be used for?
--- The money raised can be used to fund a D.A.R.E. program, provide additional training, purchases for new uniforms and equipment, but most importantly to help you better Protect and Serve your community.
What does our Department need to do for the calendar?
--- Nothing. LEP handles the entire calendar project from start to finish. There is NO work or cost required by your department. LEP handles the advertising sales, collections, photography, the design and graphics, as well as the printing. We also deliver copies to every business that participated with an attached “Thank you letter” and personal message from you.
What is the “Thank You” letter and why do we need to sign it?
--- We send a Thank You letter signed by your department to inform the businesses that we are working with your department. We provide a sample thank you letter but your department is encouraged to provide your own on department letterhead. (This is the easiest way to prove the project is legitimate.)
When should we expect to receive our calendars?
--- All calendars are printed by Christmas.*
***If we do not receive your department pictures or have not completed our sales in your area by December 1, we cannot guarantee your calendars by December 25th. There is at least a two week minimum turn around for the printing of the calendars after we receive your department pictures.
What type of elements can we use on our header?
--- We can incorporate any images you might like. We can use images of badges, patches, squad cars, motorcycles, etc. Please be aware of any elements that you might choose to incorporate in
your design when the photographer is scheduled to take your photos. They are there for you. Ask them to take pictures of anything you might like used in your design.
How should we prepare for our Department pictures?
--- LEP, or the photographer hired, will contact your department to schedule a time to have the photographer come by to take your photographs. It will be at your convenience. If you have a recommendation or have your own photographer already, feel free to use them but please recommend them to contact us first. **For more information, please visit the Photography Tips section.
Can the Department see what the calendar will look like before it is printed?
--- Yes. We will send you a proof of what your calendar will look like before it is printed. We also ask that you double check all the information listed on the header, by using the provided Department Check List.

How can I submit my artwork to LEP to be on the calendar?
--- The artwork can be submitted to Law Enforcement Publications via email, the postal service,or fax. If you choose to fax your artwork in, we will receive it in black and white, NOT in color. The other common, acceptable way is to mail in your business card or provide one to the collectors when they stop by your company. If you send in a printed version of your file, the best we can do is to scan it which reduces the quality of your artwork. This is why we prefer that you use email or a CD when submitting your ad.
*** If you have any corrections or changes, please write it on the back of
your business card or on another sheet of paper. If you must write on the front,
please provide a second card that is clean and able to be scanned. This helps
us guarantee that your ad is as professional as possible.

If I email my artwork in, what is the best format to use?
--- The BEST format would be a PSD, EPS, AI , or PDF (most commonly used). We also accept JPEG, TIFF, BMP, DOC.
*We will accept GIF, PPT, and PUB, but these are not highly preferred*
What are the sizes of the advertisement spaces?
--- There are three advertisement space sizes:

Single (1 space)
•
Double (2 spaces)
•
Feature (6 spaces)
The Single space ad is around the size and shape of a business card. The Double space is two single spaces stacked vertically or horizontally (side by side). And the Feature space is six single spaces stacked horizontally (3x2) or stacked vertically (2x3).
